Hello
Jean’s
conducted tour around Dunster was a great success – thanks for an enjoyable
afternoon Jean.
Bar-B-Q
Although Clive booked
the weather there must have been a misunderstanding and the order must have been
lost in the post! Based on the weather forecast it was decided to cancel at the
last minute. In the event the rain was not as heavy as forecast but I still
think we made the right decision.
However Audrey has
suggested we do “something” on 27th September – more details later.

Sorry that this is short
notice.
With regard to our County Fellowship
Gathering, scheduled for Sunday 7th September 2008.
We have now had a very generous offer of
hospitality from Tricia at
The question is, are we all still happy
to meet on this date and venue, and accept Tricia's kind offer
? I need to know by Friday 22nd August at the latest, I
know that this is asking a lot of you, but it is not fair on Tricia if we don't
give her enough notice.
If this is on, then we all need to bring
food - sandwiches, cakes, puddings, savouries, etc.
I will provide the plates, cups,
dishes, serviettes, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, etc.
The only cost to us all is a charge of £1
each which covers the Huish Woods Day Visitor Charge.
I will also try to find out what events are
taking place on this date, that we might be able to go and
visit.
Note - if we do not have a minimum
of 20 Members then it will not be viable and will be
cancelled.
Would you please let Ron know if you
will be attending this SF County event by Thursday 21st
August.

Hello Ron & Sandy
Thanks very much for your
email.
We are hoping by Sat. that the weather
will be kind for the SF barbecue. It has certainly been a bad month so far.
Jen is getting along pretty well. She is
feeling more tired than say 2 weeks ago and sleeping quite a bit. But only a
small loss of hair and a rather red forehead. We have had a taxi up on some days
but other days we walk up. It takes about 25 to 30 minutes going and is steep in
places. Doctor says exercise is important. I don't think Jen would have been
able to travel each day as the taking of chemo tablets and others must be taken
to a strict timetable depending on the time of the
radiotherapy.
Wendy & Erica have been very good plus
son - in -law Fran. Erica has been every Wed so I have been to
I trust all is well with your family and
hope Sat is a success.
Regards to all.
Best wishes
Tony & Jen
I am keeping in touch with Tony and have assured him of all our best wishes.
